Renowned Rhode Island actress, singer, writer and advocate Dr. Rose Weaver will be honored at Juneteenth RI’s 5th Annual Celebration of Cultural Excellence Awards Gala on Saturday, April 26, 2025.
Weaver is being recognized with the Excellence In Arts Award for her significant contributions to Rhode Island’s arts and culture landscape. With a career spanning decades, she has left an indelible mark on the community through her work in theater, film, and music, as well as her advocacy for social justice and the arts.
