Waterspill Junction's mission is to create and provide theatrical and interdisciplinary media performances and education drawn from African American traditions and experiences in the world. Since 1995, keeping this mission at its core, many of the experiences captured and presented have also been universal in nature.
In addition, Waterspill Junction’s goals are to utilize the many faces of the arts, including theater, music, dance, and poetry, to educate and entertain communities about things that affect their daily lives. I believe that people from all walks of life gain a better understanding of conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease by seeing it played out on stage or film.
